    Vice-Commander's Message

Spring is here and we are well into a new year with some of the same challenges as last year. Vehicle maintenance, monies for operational expenses, where to get enough personnel to operate, increasing call volume, certifications and re-cretifications. These are all challenges from the past. However, we must again pull ourselves up and get the job done as best we can. The service we provide is vital to our citizens. As we challenge ourselves to meet the demands of service, we must look towards new and better ways to improve our quality. New training opportunities plus enhanced programs that have been taught in the past, but upgraded to meet new guidelines, will be available to us this year.

Mountain Rescue School is already filled and a new format for Rescue College is open and awaiting our arrival. Let's all stand to meet the challenges of another year with the best possible skills. And, while we are out there helping families across our state, Let's not forget to help our fellow co-worker. Join the Benevolent Brotherhood and give a helping hand to your co-worker's family in the time of need. Thanks for all you do for so many people.

Does your family have the protection of the Benevolent Brotherhood? If not, you owe it to yourself and your family to provide this benefit to your family. For full information on the Benevolent Brotherhood, contact your Association office.
