Join the Brotherhood! Join the Brotherhood! Join the Brotherhood! Join the Brotherhood! Join the Brotherhood!

With the beginning of spring, a new awakening takes over the land. And as such, the North Carolina General Assembly is now in session and working hard to provide for sensible laws to govern our people by. Already this year there has been legislation introduced to eliminate the N.C. Vehicle Safety Inspection, do away with the requirement for motorcycle riders to wear motorcycle helmets and there is also a bill which will make it a class one felony for anyone to assault another with body fluids and/or wastes. Another bill will increase pension benefits and another will require an open door enrollment for the pension fund.
Your Association is actively tracking this and other legislation on a daily basis. It is your responsibility to be aware of what's going on and make your feelings known, not only to your Association officers, but also to your State Representatives, House and Senate. Our voice must be strong and united if we are to continue to have the growth we experienced in the past years.
Thank you again for the job you do and hopefully you can find time each day to think about those who have gone on before you and paved the way so that your duties might be a little more easier and safer. Don't forget the Brotherhood.
