    Commander's Message

The Rescue Standards have been passed by the Certification Board and the Fire and Rescue Division. These standards will be effective January 1, 1998.

Information pertaining to details on these standards will be coming out at a later date. I am very proud of the Board. We have the best minimum standards in the country. These are being copyrighted by the N.C. Department of Insurance so they cannot be copied without our permission.

Join the Brotherhood! Join the Brotherhood!! Join the Brotherhood!!!

    Vice-commander's Message

I have just returned from two weekends of Rescue College supporting the Department of Insurance, Fire & Rescue Training Division. A big THANK YOU goes out to Tim Bradley and his staff for the quality instruction program I saw ongoing there. The class sizes were smaller, the students were better suited for the advanced training. There was closer supervision by the instructor; all of which makes for a higher quality program. The Durham Fire Department also is owed a debt of gratitude for allowing us to continue to use their facilities. Durham Firefighter's Association provided us with a snack bar, drinks, lunch and a lot of help keeping the premises clean and presentable. I thank them for their continued support. Hopefully, everyone will find an opportunity to take advantage of this type training in the near future. It will certainly enhance and fine tune your ability to provide good solid rescue service to the citizens of your community.

In closing, let me ask that you remember the Brotherhood and help take care of those who have gone on before you.
