Commander's Message

Your Board of Directors and Committee Chairpersons have just finished an exciting workshop (their words, not mine). We met in Burlington, N.C. to renew our commitment to our members and to learn more about why we are here, what we are trying to accomplish, and how we must conduct the business of this Association. We have strong leadership skills in our Board of Directors and Committee Chairpersons. We have members who are willing to help achieve our goals. We have new blood that is waiting to be used to refresh our approach to rescue and EMS in North Carolina. With all these resources available to us, we can only continue to move forward. I thank those attending for giving up another weekend to work for the NCAR&EMS. If you are willing to serve as needed, please let your officers know. Many times we need contacts and phone calls made, and you can help in those or other areas. Call our office and tell us how you want to help, please.

Thanksgiving is upon us and as we go about giving of ourselves, let us not forget our own families and friends who also need our help from time to time. One way you can help others is to join the Benevolent Brotherhood. A dollar given to family in a time of need is a gracious gift, even though it may seem small. Call the office in Goldsboro for your Brotherhood packet today. I thank you for your continued help and support.

Vice-commander's Message

The Director's Workshop in Burlington, N.C. on October 25-26 proved to be very worthwhile, with very good information being received by us.

Do you have all the information on how much you benefit from belonging to the Association? Do you know just what your benefits really are? If the answer is no, ask your squad leaders to contact the Association office and arrange for a visit from your Area Director to discuss your benefits with you. You will be glad you did, and so will your family.
