    COMMANDER'S MESSAGE

From time to time the occasion presents itself that the officer's do not include a member on their roster. How can someone not include all of their members on a roster. It is possible. As you file your roster with the State Association, you should have someone to check and double check to make sure that every member has been included. Why? It is the responsibility of the officers (Captain) to make sure that each member who has obtained the necessary training be included on the roster. If a member is hurt or killed in the line of duty and they are not on the roster, then your squad is responsible for what benefits that member would have received had their name been on the roster. Please, check your rosters, double check your roster and when a new member joins your squad, send his/her name to the State Association to be included on your roster. One of the most important pieces of paper that your squad will ever have is the rosters that have been filed over the years.
